Been a while since I've updated here, and that's quite my fault.
I do see that I've yet to garner any extra attentions from others around DA, but I can cope with that. Perhaps fame is not all it is cracked up to be. In any case, a handful of poems are hardly worthy of the attention I am asking for.

And here I swore to myself I wouldn't crave it so much. It must be a replacement to what I've quit. No ciggies anymore. Hear it's bad for one's health. Emphyzema at 30 isn't quite what I'm aiming for...

Drinking like a bloody fish isn't good for me either, though how I do enjoy that familiar burn down my throat and the warmth spreading its tendriled fingers through my tummy...

Anyhow, off track as I've gotten in prattle about my nasty habits, there isn't much to report, I'm afraid. My mum sent a care package from home with tons of piccies of the family and letters from my friends. What made me move out here in the first place I will never wrap my head around. I did the exchange student a few years ago and something about the States drew me in. Felt like it needed another go 'round, without someone else's parents constantly feeling as though they ought to watch my every move, given I didn't really belong to them.

It's like when you lend someone your favourite CD- you expect them to care for it better than they would their own because it belongs to someone else, follow me?

In any case, it isn't a terrible ordeal. I've made loads of friends, I'm enjoying my time here, though I'm counting the days til the end of the two years I'm here. Then I'll make a decision on where it is I want to live.

Or perhaps I shall continue moving place to place! That'd be an adventure, and surely more inspiration for the poetry I claim to write
